AgentMeter is built for teams whose AI products create variable cost every time a customer asks an agent to do work. The product helps builders discover cost sources, attribute spend to each customer, react before budgets are exceeded, and support customer-facing usage workflows.

Most model dashboards answer a narrow question: how much did a provider account spend? AgentMeter answers the business question that matters before launch: which customer, workflow, step, model, tool, or retry loop created the cost, and what should the product do before that cost damages margin?

The product is SDK-first. Teams install the TypeScript or Python SDK inside the agent runtime, then emit usage facts such as tokens, requests, seconds, characters, status, and step names. AgentMeter prices those facts on the backend so pricing changes, customer contracts, and vendor rate updates do not require code changes in the agent.

The launch wedge is AI agent cost attribution for builders selling agent-powered products. That includes customer support agents, research agents, sales agents, coding agents, internal copilots, and workflow automations where cost is variable and customer margin can drift quickly.

AgentMeter is intentionally not positioned as a general tracing or prompt-evaluation tool. Teams can keep their observability stack for debugging and use AgentMeter as the financial control layer that turns usage into customer margin, budget rules, and billing evidence.
